Beautiful 95 degree day – perfect for pouring cement! CCTO is here and working hard on the sidewalk at the office. CCTO beats the heat and the dust.
A huge thank you to First Christian Church of Yuma and Ninos board members Darryl and Maggie Godwin for the incredible “paper drive” they did for Ninos. The Godwins have a huge trailer and it was packed with donations. They brought food too and you can see our boys were helping unload and put it all away. This was an encore to a drive they did in 2016 but i think this one was even bigger. Darryl G says it was God’s hand but he sure has faithful servants!
Alma Rosa Najera told me that she has a volunteer who will begin a sewing class at Ninos for six ninas. She has had a dream of teaching our girls fashion design. We had three sewing machines donated over the years and immediately needed a fourth. I told Judy Gunn Lloyd when I returned and she decided it will be a perfect place for her machine. She is very happy. Michael Yeaman picked it up today on his way to Ninos. We’ll start looking for two more since one per child is ideal.
